Preparations for the Big Day

We've been rehearsing the set for the Gig for Heroes for a few weeks now but a little spanner appeared in the works last week. Matt, our drummer, needs surgery on his nose - basically so he can breathe properly. Unfortunately, the surgery is happening 4 days before the gig.  We're really gutted but Matt won't be able to drum with us on our first gig! Otherwise his face might explode (which would make quite an impact on our first gig but not something we could necessarily pull off every time).

However, we are getting some help from an old friend. Tracy, former drummer with The REOFFENDERS, is stepping up to the drum stool for that gig. We had a run through on Wednesday and she was great so that little disaster has been averted.

Oh and the other big news.... I think there are maybe two tickets left for the gig (which will probably not last five minutes) and then we can officially declare this a sell out! There won't be any tickets available on the door, sorry.

First Gig on the Way

It's been a while since I've written... sorry 'bout that.

We have our first gig coming up which we're mighty excited about. It's the Gig For Heroes charity gig at Exeter City Football Club on 1st October.  There are four bands on the bill, ourselves, Hooked, Barracoodas and Trigger Happy - all awesome bands and all good friends of ours which should make for a bloody good night!

Members from each of the bands got together last night to discuss what gear we'd be using for PA, lights, etc. and we came to the conclusion: we really don't need to worry! We've all got lots of stuff! And we'll all need to stitch our name tags into the back of everything cos there's likely to be quite a mix up of microphones, leads, etc. (except Debbie from Hooked has very obviously clean, neat and tidy things apparently).  If we use all the lights at our disposal, we might have to kit the audience out with shades!

Over 150 tickets have been sold so far. They're available from any of the band members and from the football club. We do expect this gig to sell out so for anyone who's not able to get tickets in person, we've created a paypal page where you can reserve tickets for collection at the door. Tickets are £4 (plus 35p paypal charges because we want 100% of the money to go to the charity). You MUST bring your Paypal confirmation to the gig to collect your tickets.
